The project supports AqA S.r.l., part of TEA Group, that manages urban drainage and wastewater networks across Mantova and 41 surrounding municipalities, serving approximately 274,700 inhabitants. The system includes treatment plants, pumping stations and extensive combined sewer networks requiring targeted planning to address urbanisation pressures and infrastructure criticalities.
Idrostudi surveyed and modelled around 714 km of pipes, integrating field data, monitoring campaigns and advanced hydraulic simulations.
Idrostudi surveyed and modelled around 714 km of pipes, integrating field data, monitoring campaigns and advanced hydraulic simulations.

The Idrostudi Team focused on extensive and detailed networks surveys, the provision of the hydraulic modelling and the design structural measures to improve the drainage and sewerage network efficiency reducing the criticality:
- Data collection and analysis; topographical surveys, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and combined sewer;
• 1440 km of networks [of which 714 km carried out by Idrostudi]
• n. 466 manufactures (weirs) [of which 124 carried out by Idrostudi and 321 verified by Idrostudi in compliance with the environmental and regulatory in place]
• n. 392 pumping stations [of which 115 carried out by Idrostudi] - Stakeholder engagement/information/consultation throughout the project;
- Sewerage BASELINE establishment; Network GIS development;
- Execution of hydraulic monitoring campaigns and field test for the verification and validation of the monitoring system;
- Hydrological modelling;
- Hydraulic and numerical modelling of the stormwater and wastewater network [714 km];
- Design of structural measures (identification of measures for urban flood risk improvement);
- BoQ and cost estimates;
- Results and systems handover (database and models).
